AllWrite LVW-5005 DVD/CD Recorder

I purchases the LVW-5005 DVD/CD Recorder a few months ago, after doing as much reading up on it and other brands of DVD Recorders. I have nothing but praise for this product.There is really nothing that this machine can’t do. I make DVD’S, SVCD, VCD, Audio CD’s, you name it. Now I did have a few questions about firmware that the manual suggests to have installed, but after talking with some of the customer support people and getting info on how to configure the system to work with my satellite and VHS/DVD player, I’ve found it to be able to do EVERYTHING that I had hoped and More. I did not have to download ANY firmware and that made me very happy, because I didn’t feel comfortable doing that and as I found out, it is ONLY necessary if you have function problems with the unit.All I can tell you is BUY this machine. I can assure you that if you take the time to do the testing on various blank audio and video discs and configure the system to record at the speeds you want, you will not be disappointed.Just a note, on a standard 4.7GB DVD, you should ALWAYS record at the 4 hour speed and never at the 6 hour speed, if you want a clear picture. I record cartoons, TV shows, DVD’S, tennis matches and the playback is just as clear as my satellite signal.I LOVE my LVW-5005!!!!! I will NEVER buy another VHS tape as long as I live.
