This book has excellent descriptions of dive sites for both shore and boat dives. The maps in book are very well drawn and give you a perfect insight to the dive that awaits you. It is also full of beautiful and interesting underwater and shore side photographs. I now keep this book in the glove compartment of my car so it is readily available to be used in deciding where to dive anywhere in Monterey. I hadn’t done a dive at “Coral Street” until I discovered it in this book. It is now one of my favored sites for a Monterey shore dive and a pleasant change from the more often dove sited. I have also suggested some of the sites from the book to the skipper of the day trip boats and really enjoyed “Ballbuster” and “Half Dome”. I recommend this book to anyone interested in diving in northern California.
